Finally, I’m sitting on my comfort sofa while watching DVD in home sweet home after long travelled. This entry about Cornwall trip day 1.
Early in the morning, I woke up to make breakfast and bekal for our 4 hours drive. then, 8 o’clock bertolak dari umah menuju ke St Ives. It was a looong drives. Thanx to our bimmer, which gave my butt good comfort. hehehe… Adi droves straight 3 hours from Bristol until he did his ‘personal site visit’ to Wadebridge. Took pictures of his ’sains*bury project site’. Then we back to our track to St Ives.
Around half past 11, we arrived at ST IVES!!!!yeay!! eventhough it was weekdays, the town were packed with with people and we hardly can found an available car park. For two nights in St Ives we stayed at Corneyways B&B that has 50 yrs history as B&B. We stayed at the loft room, which has a nice view of the harbour & beach.
After a good rest , we walked around the harbour and town and also the beaches. The weather was windy and cold and cloudy. Lots of people enjoying swimming at the beach but i just dare to celup hujung jari kaki because the water was really…really COLD!!!! We just lay on the beach but not so long before we gave up and stayed in our warm room.
Around 7pm, we went out again to find something to eat. Since Cornwall is famous with its fresh fish/seafood so we would like to eat fish dish for dinner. There are lots of restaurants but because too many people, we need to jump from a restaurant to another to find an available seat. After waited for half an hour, we got our seat. We ate boring English fish dish; steam fish fillet with little seasoning and steam vegetables (cukuplah kalau nak try ‘English dish’) . After “satisfied” with our foods, we walked along the harbour and ended our 1st day in St Ives.
