For those who are waiting good news from me, I am sorry to tell you that I am still carrying my big tummy.. *sigh*
now 40weeks 6 days.. I think my dear baby doesn’t want to come out yet because since his tok mama is here, I eat lots of delicious home cooking meal ALL DAY LONG; BREAKFAST LUNCH & DINNER.. with full services from dayang-dayang… hahahah
I already done the ‘membrane sweep’ (midwife/doctor will simply “sweep” a finger around the neck of your womb (cervix). The aim is to separate the membranes around your baby from your cervix. This releases hormones called prostaglandins, which may kick-start your labour) on last Wednesday and my midwife said that time I was already dilated 1cm and she can touch the baby’s head !!! when she said that I was really happy and hoping that I will have my baby a.s.a.p. BUT NOTHING HAPPENED!!!!!! *sigh*
So this morning after breakfast, to make the labour kick-start quicker I decided to join my family to retail park for some shopping. I walked for 4hours!! BUT STILL NOTHING HAPPENED!!!
Just for information, health system in UK is VERY DIFFERENT from Malaysia. Eventhough I already dilated 1cm and had a spot of blood on Monday, I cant just turn up at hospital. I need to call the maternity unit first and talk with on duty midwife, if she tells me that I don’t need to go to hospital so I dont have to go to hospital. The only thing that I can do is wait. And like now, I am already 6days overdue, I just can wait at home as long as baby is moving and I don’t have any specific sign to labour (50-60sec contractions/over 3cm dilated), not like in Malaysia; midwives/doctors will persuade to stay at hospital and induce eventhough just 1day overdue. And in UK, it is hard to find private clinics like we have in Malaysia to do our own check up. ALL I CAN DO IS JUST WAITING.. if I still not giving birth, my midwife already set up an appointment on Monday to induce.
I will announce my good news a.s.a.p after I give birth, but till then I think I will take a break from blogging for a moment. I hope all my friends can pray for me.
